Due to DoS atackers, LJ's being a dickwaffle. Official modstance is that reaching the activity check might be freakin' impossible because of this, so everyone gets a free pass this month.

I have no idea when this was implemented--I seem to recall reading their inactive userpic FAQ entry some months back and not seeing it there--but LJ will now delete any icons that are inactive for more than six months. This means if you have a journal that hasn't been paid for a while, it is probably a good idea to make sure you have the icons ( Read more... )
